Today I had to be at work early for a videoconference. Our business does videoconference as a side business for extra money. My boss gives me 10% of the profit so that's an extra $50 - $100 a month.
Our normal videoconference hours are 9 - 5, but I get into the office at 7:30. Well today we had a videoconference at 7:00. Which means I have to be in the office at 6:30! Unfortunetly I am a night person and not a morning person so I had a really hard time getting up this morning. I got to work at 6:40...oops.
Of course when I'm late everyone is early so the participant is standing outside my door. I'm pissed because she's there early and see's me late.
I open the door and step inside our suite, expecting her to follow. She doesn't. I stick my head out the door and say "Would you like to come in". She says "I'm waiting for the office to open." I'm thinking did you not just see me unlock and open the door? Well the office is open!!!
I direct her to the room were our videoconference equipment is set up. She tells me that she's on hold to find out when we open. Again I'm thinking we are open you dumb bitch, cant you see your inside our office? Did I mention I HATE mornings? So I let her know that our normal business hours are 9:00 am, but I'm here early just.for.her. She doesn't seem impressed. So finally she gets off her dumb phone. I get her a pitcher of water, and we already have glasses on our refreshment table for her. She looks at the upside down glasses and says "are these clean"? Um nope, we are cutting back costs so to save on dish soap we are sharing glasses.
Seriously can I slap her?
