This weekend I went on a retreat with some girlfriends. We had a blast staying up until all hours of the night talking about who knows what! I don't think I laughed so hard as I did that night. I love those girls.
But as everyone knows when girls get together we talk. And some of those conversations get very graphic. One of the girls wanted to know who waxes "down under." Only one of the other girls did. I'll stick to razors thanks you very much, especailly after listening to what they had to endure.
One of the girls went to a very gentle waxer. But it sounds like sometimes gentle isn't so good. She was so gentle that she would give plenty of warning and pull slowly! I wax my eyebrows and rule #1 is pull fast and hard! So I can just imagine what pulling slowing "down there" would be like. NO THANK YOU!!!
The other girl said she went to a Romanian lady... we'll call her Helga. Helga would apply the wax and papers. Then rip, rip, rip. Really fast and really hard. Some times two at a time. Gives you no time to breath or think. Sounds like the way to do it, get it over with and fast. But then she told us that she's bruised! Bruised "down there"! Ouch.
Is it really worth the pain? I mean I'm sure it's nice not to have to shave or worry, but the pain. And girl #1 had to go back every 3 weeks! Luckily girl #2 made it to 6 weeks before she had to go back for her tourture session.
Of course thoughout this whole conversation I was thinking; this is so going into my blog. One of the girls I was with at the retreat also has a blog so she totally understand my need to blog about everything. I know that Little Miss has blogged about a conversation she and her husband had one night about Brazilian or Native. For me I'll just stick to my good ole' trusty razor.

um. two words:
razors cut.

pain pills
wax
waxing is the only way to go. it lasts longer and is easier to maintain
This post is pretty funny, you should check out my blog for my version of what male triathletes have to go through in this arena. Minus the pain of course! No waxing here, just smooth legs for the lady friend, and amybe some other areas. Take care
Razor, razor. My eyebrows hurt enough. Shit!
