Damn that Grey's Anatomy

Why is it that shows are able to make us happy, make us sad, make us cry, and make us laugh all in the same episode.
Yes folks I'm talking about ABC's Grey's Anatomy.

Why would Dr. McDreamy chose his cheating bitchy wife over his girlfriend who loves him? Hmmm that sentence didn't sound good. The show just pulls at the heart strings. They introduce us to new patients each week, ones that we grow to love in the 60 minutes , then they kill them off. They kill the good guys off. The ones that make jokes while a pole is impelled in her body. The one that is soon to be married. The one that even when she knew she was going to die she still had a smile on her face, they killed her! I know that T.V. tries to imitate life and it may not be "real life" if she lived but why not, why can't we have the happy ending. And to top it off Grey is yelling "don't abandon her, don't abandon her", when really you know she's yelling "don't abandon me".

And to end the show as if crying 1/2 way through it wasn't it enough. Derek Shepard has to break the news to the fiance of the girl that died that her last words were "if only love was enough". Then he breaks down crying in the elevator.

So why put myself through this tourture each week? Because I'm addicted, I can't quit now, I've watched it from the beginning, I've commited myself. It's like when you stand in a line and you can see that the other line is moving faster but you've commited the time to that line and you know that if you go to the other line it will suddenly stop. So I stick with it and I cry. Damn that ABC!

... and just for the record I didn't blog twice today because I don't count my days until I go to bed. I may have blogged (technically) on Sunday but I didn't go to bed until 2:30 so that still counts as Saturday... and in my own little world it makes sense.
