Aww to be a Child again

Reading Little Miss's blog about playing Doctor... err I mean He-Man with her best friend, has brought memories of my childhood back.

Aww to be a child again. No cares in the world other then who will be your best friend for the day and what toy to play with. Not having to worry about paying the Mortage, making sure bills are being paid in a timely manner, or driving 30 minutes to and from work. When we were kids all we wanted to do was grow up so we could be the bosses of ourselves, and as adults wouldn't it be nice to be a kid again and not be the boss of ourself?

I remember as a kid watching Thundercats. Not many people have heard about the Thundercats. But my family were avid watchers and collectors of them!

The cartoon was only on from about 1983 - 1988 but during that time, my mom managed to tape all of the episodes. Yes I said my mom, for when I said we were avid watchers and collectors that also included my mom. My mom still has all the comic books, the poster, lunchbox and game. We had the theme song memorized, we knew the character and their backstories. I knew that when I grew up I wanted to be as fast as Cheetara and marry someone just like Lion-O. Oh how we loved to watch our Thundercats.

So there is my childhood flashback. Watching the Thundercats. Yes we were crazy kids!
