How I spent my Christmas Vacation

It was so nice having a 4 1/2 day Christmas vacation!
Friday:
I got home about 2:30. Bob was sleeping because he wasn't feeling well. So I woke him up and made him go shopping with me. We spent $200 at J.C.Penny's. And most of it was for ourselves. I love to shop for me! We bought a rug for our living room and a white blanket to put on our couch to hide the cat hair. (we have a purple velvet couch so anytime abbie looks at the couch hair collects). We also bought his parents and his brother their Christmas presents. Nothing like waiting till the last minute.
Saturday:
We went to visit Bob's grandma in Brigham City. It's been over two years since we've seen her last. WE are bad people! We did make her a gift basket with apples, oranges, chips & salsa, hot chocolate, popcorn and a picture of us. Visiting Bob's anything is really exciting. He doesn't really have a relationships with any of his cousins so basically he just ignores them and they ignore him. I on the otherhand talk to them all. Usually his mom calls me when she wants to invite us to their house just because she knows I'll talk to her. The rest of Saturday was pretty uneventful. Bob's friend Steve and Shelly came over with their two kids for a visit. Their kids are adorable!
Sunday:
CHRISTMAS!!!
Bob woke me up at 7:30 to open presents. I told him he can open his stocking presents but had to wait for me to get up to open the rest of presents. That's what the rule in my family was. Bob's family never had any real traditions so basically our traditions are the traditions my family has. One tradition we started was giving each other pajamas the day before Christmas. This year Bob wanted to open the pajama presents two days before because he was so excited. It was cut so I said yes. We had a good Christmas and I got everything I asked for. And I think Bob got what he wanted. I got shirts (lots of them), scrapbook scissors I needed, some other scrapbook tools I had on my list, and the newest Nickleback CD. I got Bob the ESPN College Football Encyclopedia, Tools for work and a Burton T-shirt. Around 10 we went to my grandma's for Christmas Breakfast. I love breakfast at my grandmas house! Bob and I then went home so I could get salads ready for Christmas Dinner. I took a little nap on my couch, and waited for everyone to show up for Dinner. This year Dinner was at my house. We played games, ate good food and opened more presents!!! I love spending time with the fam on Christmas.
Monday:
I love days I know I should be at work but don't have to! I slept in until 11:00, got up, watched a little bit of TV then went back to sleep. Around 1:00 Bob and I decided to go watch a movie. BAD IDEA. I guess everyone and their dog had the 26th off. And every movie was sold out. So we skipped the movie and went to Sears to buy a Vacum. I love our new vacum! It's one of those bagless ones. But it shows how bad our carpets needed to be vacumed. I think I'll be vacuming every day now! The fam came over again to eat the leftovers. Did I mention I love hanging out with family?

So that was how I spent my Christmas vacation.
