I'm getting in the mood

FOR CHRISTMAS!!!

Shame on any of you who read this post because you thought you'd read something dirty!
It's December 11th and I'm finally getting in the mood for Christmas. Thursday I went to a Kurt Bester Christmas Concert with my cousin. I've never been a big Kurt Bester fan, but he's pretty good. I'm not going to run out and buy all his CD's but I won't object if my cousin is playing his music. Then on Saturday my family went to The Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra Christmas Concert. The guest singer was Renee Flemming and it would have been nice if she would have let the Choir sing at least a song or two. Seriously she took over the show! Last year the Choir had spunk, pizazz. This year nothing. I think Renee Flemming was trying to out do them. There was a story read at the concert with the Orchestra providing the music that just put me to tears.
The story was about a small town in Russia where every Christmas 10 girls are chosen to ring the bells on Christmas morning. One little girl was chose when she turned 8 and she was so excited. Her father was the bell maker and he made a special bell just for her. They enscribed the inside of her special bell just for her. A few days before Christmas the town was attacked by Soldiers. Houses were burned, people were killed. In the end the little girl was killed. But on Christmas Morning 9 girls rang their bells. And the 10th little girl rang her bell from above (in the trees above the choir).
I was fine until the little girl dressed in white was in the trees in the background ringing her bell... oh I get teary eyed just thinking about it. Afterwards we walked through Temple Square to see the lights. The lights are really amazing! I've been listening to Christmas music on the radio. We got our house all decorated and I turn our Christmas lights on every chance that I have. So finally I'm in the spirit of Christmas! If only I could get my shopping down.

Presents bought so far: 2

Here are a few pictures of my cat. It's been a while since I've exploited Abbie on the internet.
