Last night I went to my first Bunco game. I really never knew what Bunco was other then a dice game before I went. I also figured Bunco was for older women. My cousin and her friend got a group together of 20-something women and we had a blast! I was a little hesitent to go because:
(a) they aren't really my friends and they are all kind of weird.
and (b) they are Molly-mormons and what if by some chance I swore... oh the horrors!
Well I didn't swear (I don't think) and I won the Bunco prize! So I was happy with the game and it really wasn't as boring or horrible as I thought it might be. I'm actually looking forward to next months game. Other then it's at annoying girl #1's house.
There were a few of the girls that kind of got under my skin but I can let it pass, especially since I know that they annoy my cousin as well.
1st girl. No matter where she was sitting (we played teams and switched tables) she had to have the dice rolled in a specific order and she was so freaking ANAL about it. I'm sorry when your dealing with 8 other women you don't have to have it YOUR WAY. I about bitch slapped her a couple of times. Luckily I didn't have to sit by her too often.
2nd girl. She was the hostess and she was the typical stay at home - mormon mom hostess. She had no caffeine available for drinking. Umm what if I brought my own Mt. Dew would I have to brown bag it? The food was all perfect and her house was all decorated with Valentines. All the towels were Valentines, the table cloth was valentines, the plates were valentines. The bathroom was even decorated with Valentines! Ummm right... I don't like any holiday that much to decorate my bathroom! Oh yeah and when she was telling us the rules the first words out of her mouth was "this is my house so we WILL follow my Bunco rules." Umm yeah.
3rd girl. The Bunco night was planned for 7pm. Well people have work and people have family. When we called to let girl number three know we were running a little bit behind and the hostess lived out in BFE, she flipped out! I'm sorry that we have a life outside of Bunco but CHILL OUT! We don't want Bunco to be a stress something that we worry about or not want to go because the wrath of girl #3. Luckily she chilled out when everyone got there. Geez!
Everyone else was pretty good. We had a blast. I for one will be having Pizza and Mt. Dew at my Bunco night, just because I'm not the typical LDS stay at home Women.

lol... she seriously decorated her bathroom? she needs to get a job and leave the house from time to time other than to go to michaels.
by the way, what the hell is bunco?
Good grief - girl number 2 sounds like a nutball. When you host it you should say the same thing and then caffienate everyone out the bejeez.. and make up crazy rules. But if it's your bunco night - your rules.
I'm glad you had fun anyway!!
Nytro - Bunco is a dice game, it's really fast paced and you just roll dices trying to get 21 of one number. There are usually 4 games depending on the rules your following. But basically a time women can get together and just hang out and get really loud. But we get prizes!!! Yes I like the prizes.
Holli- I'm totally going to get everyone hopped up on Caffiene! I'll probably be damned to hell, but I'll have a fun ride there!
i would not have been able to sit there the whole time!! probably shot myself...
I always made fun of people who played bunko until I started playing with a group of women. Involve some alcohol into the mix and you've got a hell of a good time.
oooh, Bunco shot night! What a cah-razy idea! I'm thinking of going inactive anyway...drink alcohol and save 10% while doing it! LMAO
*goin' to hell? can I catch a ride? mkay, thaaanks.
i agree with loo and little miss... sounds like a great drinking game.
Yup probably is. I think my sister goes to a bunco where wine is served, sounds like it could be a lot more fun, plus they get money not prizes. She's won the pot two or three times!!!
