My morning

I guess everyone is officially done with the Christmas/New Years holiday.

I got a late start this morning. I just did not want to get up! Abbie (the cat) woke me up about 6:00 after my 1st alarm went off (I have three alarm clocks - and i still can't get up!). I was walking to where his food was and ran into the wall! Yes I was that tired. I went back to sleep after that, ignoring all the alarms. I didn't even get up until 7:00, I'm should be leaving at 7:00! Ugh!

The roads were packed! It took me ten minutes to get from my house to the Highway, then 10 more minutes to get to the Freeway! On my way to get onto the Highway, I nearly witnessed 2 kids get hit by a car (I barely missed them as well). Are kids really that stupid? They were both wearing dark colors and tried to cross inbetween me and the car infront of me. I always leave about a car length between me and the car in front of me. They were standing in the suicide lane (left turn lane); ran infront of me then tried to cross the next lane (the road is a four lane road with suicide lane in the middle), the car barely had enough time to brake for the one kid to make it to the sidewalk. The other stopped in my lane when he/she realized they wouldn't be able to make it. I nearly hit the second kid! Dumb ass kids! In a way I wished they would have gotten hit just to teach them a lesson, but that's mean.

But I made it to work in a timely manner. It's hard getting back to work after a long holiday. But it's back to the good old work and grind.
