This Saturday I got a brand new car. It's my first new car ever so it's a little intimidating. My husband was pretty set on getting a VW Jetta, so who am I to complain? I've always wanted a Jetta so I'm really happy with it. When we went to the dealership I was 100% against buying a new car. I just wanted a nice cheap used vehicile that would get us through the next few years until my husband's Jeep was paid off then we could think about getting a newer car. Really never in my life would I have ever thought I'd get a car with only 27 miles on it! But I did and I love it. It's a car that fit in our budget, so why not.
My husband wanted the TDI (diesiel engine, satellite radio, 6 CD disk changer, sunroof) it would have been nice but I wasn't happy with the payments and I really didn't think I was ready for that nice of a car. It was really hard just buying this car. I've gone from my Ford Taurus (piece of crap) to a Chevy Prism (nice but very basic) to a Brand new VW Jetta! So this was a huge step up for me, I don't think I'm ready for all the bells and whistles yet. Maybe next car, we'll think about it.
So this is my car, I'm super excited about it and I just love to drive it! My husband can't wait until we can take a road trip in it!

That is AWESOME (and I hate that word!!) We were the VW family forever.. and we still have two bugs. I used to have a cabriolet - I drove that thing until it was little more than a frame and four wheels.. the best cars. I'm so happy for you - it's beautiful!

Congratulations! That's exactly how I felt when I got my new car. But now you're spoiled, so you'll never be able to go back to the old beater cars you've been used to.
BTW, if I ever get run off the road by a silver VW Jetta, I'm just going to assume that it was you. Please look for my middle finger and give me a wave! Damn Utah drivers.
Loriloo, I would never run you off the road, I'm a very safe driver... actually I wouldn't want to hurt my baby. But I know what you mean, I just wish for bad things to happen to assholes who drive!
