Well I am out of my funk. Which I'm glad about.
But I've been so tired lately and I haven't really had anything interesting to blog about.
Over the weekend I did have a bit of a mystery visitor come to my door. It was Thursday or Friday and my sister was coming to our house to get our entertainment center that we don't use to take to a friend. The doorbell rang so I naturally thought it was her. When I got to the door no one was there except a small metal pink flamingo wearing flip flops. Not many people know this about me but I love flamingos. I didn't realize how much I like them until I had to take a picture of one for a challenge I was participating in. Now I am obsessed with them. Maybe it's the fact that they are bright pink and stand on one foot - so not the normal from other bird or the fact that Utah has a runaway flamingo named Floyd living at the Great Salt Lake (click this link to see Pink Floyd) that has intrigued me about these animals. I looked up and down the street and saw no one. I had no idea who would leave a flamingo on my doorstep. Last year I found a blow up flamingo and put it in my cousin's garden as a joke. So it could have been her, but when I called her she had no idea what I was talking about and was already at home. The next person I thought of was my mom, I had been having a bad day and she's super sweet so she may have done it to cheer me up. But when I called her she was at a friends house and had been there since before the mysterious flamingo showed up. So who could it have been. I knew I hadn't told anyone in our neighborhood that I liked flamingos so no one would have given it to me unless they thought it was a joke... But I loved it! So how did this mysterious flamingo get to my house and how was I going to find out who gave it to me so I could thank them.
The mystery continued until Monday when my mom came over to get some clothes of ours to repair (it's nice having a handy mother) When I was walking her out I just looked at the flamingo and said I love it so much and I wished I knew who gave it to me so I could thank them. As she walked down the walkway she said your welcome... It was my mom the whole time! She is such a good liar!!! Is that good! But I love her for it and she totally made my day and helped get me out of the funk that I was in.
I'll try to post a picture of my wonderful flamingo when I get home.

What a sweet gesture! Moms are so great. I love it that I'm at the age now that I can be friends with my mom instead of what it used to be when I was a teenager. Love it!
Glad you're out of your funk. You should treat yourself to some new shoes. That always cheers me up.
go mom
how funny is it that my first thought (my first guess) was your mom??
and I love the new look, muy bien!
p.s. I finally updated my blog, so suck it! (just kidding about the suck it part, that's my new phrase, and I LOVE it!)
