I'd like to thank Kenny Chesney for keeping me awake last night.
We live close to the Usana Amphetheater, it's walking distance from my house but definitly not in my backyard. But you wouldn't have guessed that last night. As I was lying in bed I could hear music. At first I thought it was the neighbor behind us because sometimes they do have small parties and the sound does filter into my backyard. But as I was lying there trying to figure out how I was going to tell my neighbor to turn his music down I hear cheering.
Cheering?
Then I remembered the converstation with my cousin earlier that evening. She was lost and needed directions to Usana. I put two and two together and it equaled a concert. So I got online to see who was playing and lo and behold it was good ole Kenny. So we opened our window and enjoyed the free concert.
I honestly was suprised at how loud it was, and how well we could hear. We couldn't hear every word but the music was loud and clear and the cheering was crazy! Ivory Homes is building some homes just North West of us. It's just on the edge of a golf course and the homes are crazy huge. I'm sure they are well over $200,000. As I was listening to the music I got to thinking that those homes are right BEHIND Usana. If I could hear the concert almost as clear as day and it was making it hard to sleep then what about those homes that are right behind it. I feel sorry for those unsuspecting homeowners then. What will happen when a rap group preforms or some heavy metal band... crazy!
So thank you Kenny Chesney for the free concert. In the future I'm just going to have to adjust my sleep schedule to concert, that way I'll be able to sit in my backyard and enjoy the music. I think Poison is playing there this Friday... interesting.

I had the saem thing happen when I lived in Cleveland. My apartment was near where they would often hold these outdoor concerts during the summer and I could sit on my balcony and enjoy the music from the comfort of my own home. But when my schedule changed and I needed to be at work at 3 AM, those concerts became such an annoyance because they kept me up all night.
Journey is opening for Deff Leapord.
I could do without the latter, but I love Journey. Since I am a fan of wretched music, this shouldn't be a surprise.
I SO want to see them, but alas.
NO ONE WILL GO WITH ME.
Tell me how it goes (Since I think it will be a bit louder than Kenny)
Free concerts in your backyard - COOL!! Although I don't know if I would maybe lock all the doors and windows when Poison is there. GAH to that band.. I didn't even like them when they were still around!
way cool, i love poison so i might just have to stop by.
