The husband's birthday is in two days. I have not bought one thing for him. The problem is we have an allowance.
After being married for just a few months I realized his stuff was a whole lot more expensive then mine. I'm a simple girl I don't need the name brand shoes or jeans. I'm happy buying my stuff on sale. But the husband he likes the name brands. The price of his shoes I could buy two, when he buys a pair of pants I would get pants and two shirts. I also have a very expensive hobby so I always felt guilty buying stuff for my hobby because the husband didn't have a hobby. It didn't seem fair that when he got something to make it even I got something too. That and our finances started to dwindle FAST. So I came up with the idea of an allowance. That way if we wanted to buy things then either you saved or went without. It's worked for us for the past four years. The only problem is we buy everything we want when we want it.
Which leads me to my delema. What to get the husband for his birthday. I could get him clothes but he has more clothes then any man should. I could get him shoes but again way too many shoes. I thought about getting him the gas powered weed wacker that he's been wanting but he said he wants something for him not something that he has to work with. Which also leaves out tools because he's a mechanic and he always needs tools but he just uses them at work. Like I meanted before he doesn't have any hobbies unless you count watching sports a hobby, but he already has season tickets to his favorite local football team as well as tickets to a NFL game in October. So what to get?
He wants a Michigan blanket to match his BYU Blanket so I guess I could get him that.
As I meantioned before he has season tickets to his favorite college team so I could get him one of those chairs that hook on the benches.
But what else? I'm at a lose with this guy. I love the allowance but when it comes to gift giving time it's such a pain in the ASS...

Maybe you could search e-bay for a signed poster of one of his favorite athletes.
Or send him to a spa for a massage -- guys like them too, they're not just for girls.
But perhaps all he wants is you wrapped in a bow ... and nothing else.
I have an idea, but this is assuming that you don't have either of these things in your home.
If he likes sports, what about getting DVR service on your cable. My sports crazy friends and relatives LIVE for DVRS to record their games, etc.
If you have that, maybe upgrade to a sports package on your cable?
If you have THAT...I think that you wrapped up Nekkid IN the Michigan blanket would probably make him pretty darn happy.
well, at least he will like the things you get. my husband is such a snot about gifts...i finally decided to just get him things that I would like.
so tough!
btw, my word verificaiton is
xonerbz (not sure what to make of that!)

So...what did you do for his birthday? and why does it say you're ALWAYS online? because you're never really there.
