Hard Work

I've decided that going on vacation is hard work.

My family (mom, brother, sisters, their spouses and nephew) are all going out of town this week. It's a long holiday for us (Utah holiday on the 24th!!!). So we are going camping. I.love.camping.

This week for some reason has just been insane. Not just at work but all the things I have planned and need to get done before we leave on Friday.

Work - we've been super busy. We have had attorney's in our office all week long. So not only do I have to dress up while they in our office (office attire if very casual unless we have attorney's in our office then it's professional dress) but I also have to get coffee for the attorney's in the morning. Get the conference rooms set up and make sure that they are taken care of the ENTIRE DAY!!! Yeah that's a job on itself. But it's fun and the attorney's are nice so I deal.

Then I have to go home. TV? What's that? I haven't been able to just sit and relax all week.

Monday - went to Grandma's house to help set up a canopy for my Grandpa's truck. Good times with the fam.
Tuesday - we were suppose to go to the husband's parents house for dinner, but he got home late because of work so we dodged that bullet. But before I found out we were missing dinner I was shopping for our weekend vacation and also making a dessert for the dinner. Oh well now we get to eat the entire thing ourself.
Wednesday - I was suppose to have a dr. appt this evening around 5pm but ended up cancelling due to all the other things I had to get done. It was my boss's birthday and her husband went out of town yesterday so we (the office staff) took her to dinner for her birthday. We usually try to have birthday lunches but due to our heavy work schedule that was next to impossible. Then I had a baby shower I had to go to, that I was in charge of bringing the chocolate for the fondue. But dinner was at 6:00 and Baby shower was at 7:00. So I got the chocolate to the hostess at 5:30 and went to dinner. I was about 45 minutes late to the shower but isn't everyone usually late? So I was able to fit everything into the one day that I needed to. Too bad I only saw my husband on the street as we were exchanging a movie for a checkbook as I was speeding to my next destination.
Thursday - today shouldn't be too hectic. We do need to go buy food for our trip. The husband and I are in charge of Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner the second day (I think) and I still haven't figured out what we are going to do. Okay that's a lie, I have a general idea I just need to figure out the exacts.
Friday - leaving for Camping. Hopefully the husband can get off work before 5:00 so we can leave as soon as possible. But that is looking iffy, just because everyone (and their dog) are also wanting to take the day off early and since most businesses are open until at least 5:00pm or later my husband may get shafted into staying later. Damn him for being such a nice guy!
Then it's camping and hiking Saturday, Sunday and Monday!!! I love long weekends!

So yeah that's my busy busy week!
