Way too quick

Awww back from Vacation. I could have stayed longer, I wasn't homesick like I normally am. I didn't even start missing my kitty. I knew that he was being taken care of by my mom and she's a great kitty-grandma.

So what did I do?

We went to Houston for my cousins wedding. So we made a whole weekend of it.

Friday - Flew to Houston
- Found our hotel and got checked in
- drove around Houston trying to figure out the freeways and find our way into downtown Houston. My brother is great at reading maps... me not so much.
- Went to Burger King where they had the SLOWEST service every. It took 25 minutes to get our food and we were the only ones in the restaurant.
- went to an Astros game. Our first MLB game! It was so much fun and they had fireworks afterwards that kick any fireworks asses that we've seen in Utah.

Saturday was designated Wedding Day. We went to the wedding then drove 2 hours to Vidor for the reception. It was nice -- long day but really nice.

Sunday we checked out of our hotel and drove to Galveston.
- Hung out at the beach
- Ate at the Saltgrass (my husband's favorite Texas restaurant)
- Walked around Historic Downtown
- Walked along the pier
- Saw Dolphins playing in the water
- Ate Icecream on the seawall

Monday we checked out of our hotel in Glaveston
- Went to the beach again
- Ate seafood--- mmmmm.
- Pulled over for not wearing seatbelts (we got off with a warning)
- Tried to get on the Ferrie but realized that is went to an island and we didn't have enough time.
- Flew home.

It was a fast weekend but I so needed it. I didn't even miss work/home. I didn't call to check in or to see if everything was okay. I didn't care - I was on VACATION! Now it's back to real life... ugh.
