Harry Potter - finished

There isn't going to be any spoilers in this post.

I finally finished the book. I'm pretty sure my husband is excited about that, if only to have my attention again. I read this book the slowest not because it was over 700 pages but because I wanted to fully understand it. There are so many things that I have forgotten from the last six books that I really wanted to comprehend what was happening. I am going to be reading the series again, it will be fun to read them all back to back.

It was a good book and I was satified by it. In a way I'm glad that it's finished. I'm glad that the books are done and most of our questions were anwered. It will be interesting to start talking to people who have finished the book to see how they felt about it and the way that it ended.

Now the only thing left is to wait for the final two movies to come out.

I too feel satisfied with the ending and how things all came together. Especially after watching J.K.Rowling on Dateline and hearing of more things that fill in the blanks. I read my copy in two days and am now listening to the audiobook in my car on my commute to work. I loved the series so much I have everything in book and on CD. And of course all the movies.

Yes, I am a fan.

Believe it or not, I have not seen any of the Harry Potter movies nor read any of the books. However, like LOTR I kept hearing about how good it was and then decided to watch the movies. I.now.own.them! -the extended versions because I liked LOTR that much! LOL!

I am usually not at Walmart at 11:30 p.m.-midnight but that night I was. I was packing for my Mary Kay seminar. I had NO idea why everyone was in line. (the longest line EVER!) The lady behind me informed me it was for the last Harry Potter book being released at midnight. WOW!

The way I figure it.... I did myself a favor not getting interested until the last one came out. That way I can read them all from start to finish without years of waiting! HA! :)

mmm...I still don't care. I care even LESS about Harry Potter than I do about Lord of the Rings.

Perhaps I'll read the books some day when my munchkins get older-- but until then, i too am SO GLAD it's over!
