I've always loved remodeling projects. This one isn't so much a remodel as it is just making room for baby.
We still have just under 3 months left but we are getting really excited for our little guy to arrive. The major part of the room is done, all that is left is decorating. And I'm proud to announce that the husband and I didn't disagree on any part of this room. Maybe it's my "delicate" state and he doesn't want to rock the boat. But we painted together and even hung chair rails together and didn't argue about any of it. We also just bought the furniture (well I bought it at from a warehouse that was liquidating a lot of their merchandice) it was a great deal. The furniture is very high end and we got both the dresser and crib for just over $500.
Here is what the room looked like before (we have been using it as a guest room and also where we've been storing everything that we don't normally use). But I took this picture after we'd cleaned it all out to get ready for paint.
And this is what the room looks like after. I think it turned out better then I expected.

Mail?
(update pictures added)
I'm pretty sure our mailman hates us.
We NEVER check our mail more then once or if we are lucky twice a week. And when we do get out mail it's jammed pack to the top with all the advertisements, flyers and junk mail that I would rather avoid.
It gets so long between mailruns that it gets to the point I'm afraid to get our mail. What if there is a nasty letter from our mailman telling us that he is holding our mail hostage until we clean the box. So I put off another day of getting the mail in fear of nasty letters.
Plus the box is SO.FAR.AWAY. Why do we have to have out mail 1/2 way down the block when everyone else just has to walk a house or two to get theirs. Oh yeah we live on the corner next to the park. We are damned that way. And I could just stop by the box on my way home but it's on the wrong side of the street. And since my street is the Expressway of our neighborhood going against traffic is like taking your life in your own hands. That and the previously mentioned packed box makes me even less interested in getting the mail. I get all of our bills online so I pretty much know anything in the box is just junk mail. So why even bother. Okay just out of curiosity I may get my mail tonight, it's been a good week since we've picked up the mail (maybe longer), so tune back in and I'll have pictures to prove the madness.
