Who needs kids when you have a cat?
I don't think I could keep up with a kid after what my cat has been putting me through for the past 5 years.
Abbie goes to bed with my husband at 9:00. At 11:00 pm Abbie gets up stretches a little then comes to the computer room where I am mindlessly watching TBS (a whole different blog issue) and proceeds to meow at me until I go to bed. Then at 3:00 am he wakes me up by pawing at the carpet, hewalks a stumbling/tired me to his food dish (which I purposley filled just 4 hours before so he wouldn't wake me up) and stares at it as if he needs permission to eat. I shove his face into his food and proceed to stumble back into my bed. 6:00 am rolls around and Abbie is sitting on my pillow clawing at my head attempting to wake me up before my alarm. I pull the covers over my head, which makes him think were playing a game and starts trying to find me with his claws. Not fun! So an hour later of trying to sleep in I finally get up only to realize I should have been up a 1/2 hour ago. So I throw some clothes on and rush out of the door for work.
Now from what I understand kids will grow out of the stage of not sleeping through the night. But I love my sleep in the morning, I hate mornings, life would be so much better if the day started at noon. But kids need attention, maybe more then my cat. At least with Abbie when he really pisses me off I just lock him in the mudroom, is it okay to lock kids in the mudroom?
Don't get me wrong I really want kids, but geez I can just imagine the fun of having kids and a cat! No sleep for this girl. Maybe I should just go to bed earlier... hmm.... naw
