Last night as I was drifting off to sleep I started thinking about a great idea for a blog. I had it all mapped out in my head and it was a great blog. But then I woke up this morning with no recollection of such blog!
I'm sure it had a alot to do because I was was running around the house chasing my perfect cat at 3:30 in the morning! I don't know what got into him this morning but I was so tired of him!
At/or around 3:30 Abbie wakes me up by scratching the carpet. I was okay with it the first time because he does it almost every morning. He walked me to his food bowl (which was full) and I put a few more food morsels in and he started to eat. So I went to bed.
At/or around 3:40 Abbie starts scratching at the carpet again. This time I wake up my husband so he can take care of him (that and his alarm had just gone off so it was time for him to get up). I think he got up but he walked out to the hall then returned saying he couldn't find Abbie.
At/or around 3:45 Abbie was back scratching at the carpet again! This time I got up and he walked into the bathroom and looked at the toilet. I decided he needed some extra attention so I picked him up and carried him to bed and petted him for a minute, hoping it would suffice as attention.
At/or around 3:50 Abbie is back scratching the carpet! As nicely as I can I get up, hunt him down (by this time he is hiding from me) and throw him into the mudroom and close the door so I can get some morsel of sleep.
By this time my husband has finally decided to get up, so I have to endure listening to him trying to get ready for work... Ugh, all I wanted to do was sleep!
So this morning I finally get up for work and I let Abbie out of the mudroom and he just stares at me like I am some horrible person for locking him in the mudroom. I try to explain to him that it's his own fault he's locked in there because he wouldn't let me sleep, but of course talking to a cat is like talking to a wall.
That's my exciting morning. I'm tired because I my wonderful cat won't let me sleep through the night!

Couple of things:
1- I'm glad that it's not just my cat that walks you to the bowl that's full and looks at you like: "Well?"
2- My cat doesn't wake me up anymore because when she was a kitten I was really sick and she kept meowing and wouldn't let me sleep. I threw a cup of water on her and I've never had a problem since. Of course, she NEVER even recognizes my presence in a room anymore, but I consider it a fair trade.
I try to throw things but he's good at dodging or my aim is really bad.
Hello, found your blog through Allie.
Love the cat though...
Wouldn't it be great if your cat pics for each entry represent your current status or frame of mind? Your bliss entry, for instance, had your cat pic looking in natural bliss.
Then again, lots of your photos show your cat in natural bliss ha ha
The only time he holds still is when he's sleeping, and he pretty much sleeps all the time (except at 3:30 am obviously)
you are SO screwed when you have kids! Seriously, getting up at 3:30 to feed your cat that could probably live off his own fat for the next year and a half?!
yeah...that was me.
you know I love Abbie!
; )
Ugh I HATE When that happens! Thinking of something great before you fall asleep then forgetting when you wake up. Yanno, someone told me to put a paper and pen by the bed so I can write it down. I've told myself that like 100 times and I still forget. I lose.
