Not a good start

So today didn't start out so well especially being a Friday. Maybe because I took Monday off and missed my bad day on Monday, karma is kicking me in the butt and punishing me now. All I have to say is thank goodness it's Friday and it's the weekend again!

Here is what's happened so far this morning and it's only 9:15!

1. First off I didn't go to bed until almost 12:30 I know my fault but I'm a night person! My cat woke me up at 3:30 again, but this time I saved myself the fight and just locked him in the mudroom.

2. I pushed the snooze button probley 20 times this morning, didn't even get up until 10 after 7. I should be at work at 7:30 and my commute is between 20-30 minutes.

3. Really bad traffic on highway that I normally take to work, luckily I can take the freeway as well but that is under construction (which is why I normally take the highway).

4. At 7:30 called my boss to let her know I'll be a bit late, just in case she calls the office and I'm not there.

5. She calls our answering service to see if we have any messages and we do!!! First time in months that we've ever had a message in the morning. It's from a videoconference company saying that they messed up and cancelled a videoconference for this morning on accident and it was really suppose to happen at 7:30 and all the participants were at the office waiting for me to get there!

6. I think when one is running late, the laws of physics works against them! I hit every red light the minute I got off the freeway! And every crosswalk had someone crossing, making me miss a perfectly green light!

7. Finally got into the office, to find the videoconference particiapant impatiently waiting for me. No one mentioned to him that we were under the impression that the videoconference was cancelled.

On the bright side we got paid today and I got a bonus from all the videoconferences that I've done (my boss gives me 10%) so my check is a nice one. So I will go get some retail therapy after work and have a great weekend.
