Reason #6 of why I liked to work at Target (there aren't many reasons, the pay sucked and I hate working period). But I love to shop at Target so the discounts were always nice.
I've been pulled over by a cop many times and sadly I've gotten many tickets. But a few times I've been pulled over I haven't been given a ticket and the reason why... because I work at Target.
Example #1.
My austrailian friend and I were driving to Iowa to visit Little Miss. We stopped in North Platte Nebraska, for the night and bright and early we started the final stretch to Iowa. Near Kearney Nebraska we were pulled over for going I think 80 mph. The cop was weird as it was but we played along. First he stolled up to my friends side of the window and tried to make small talk with us. Where were we going, why were we going so fast, etc. Then out of nowhere he asked me what I did for a living. Ummm... what kind of question is that? So I told him I was a supervisor at Target. Then he asked which department. I told him The front End (cashiers). He was like oh my wife is the store manager of the Kearney Target.... great! So he decides to let us off with a warning. Umm did I have a Target sticker or something on my bumper. Do I just look like a Target employee?
Example #2
It's 2 am and I was just getting off from work after working like a 12 hour shift. I.love.holidays.at.Target. Again I got pulled over. I told the cop that I was sorry for speeding but I was tired and just got off work and wanted to just go home and sleep. He asked where I worked and I told him Target. He wondered what I was doing there so late, so I told him we have to basically clean and straighten the entire store. I was still wearing my red and kaki pants and my name badge so I guess he believed me. He let me off with a warning.
All I can say is thank you Target for getting me out of a few tickets! Needless to say I still have my badge in my car just in case. Kind of a random post, I haven't work at Target full time in over 5 or 6 years. I did go back part time to help pay off our Europe trip about a year and a half ago.

target is the place to be... it's higher class than wal-mart, with just a touch less white-trash crowding the aisles.
ha ha...still have your badge...nice one...agreed on the walmart issue...
Target... a/k/a "the $100 store"?
I love TARGET!! It's the anti Wal-Mart!
Target is my eutopian society. it makes me happy.
