The other day while driving to work I saw a truck that is probably the number one cause of all pollution and the deteriation of the Ozone. The billow of exhaust from his truck could have killed a small child - no make that anyone walking in it's wake. It was seriously disgusting, I don't know how he can be driving and not get noticed by a cop and his truck put out of misery. And there is no way that he couldn't notice that everywhere he went a cloud of smoke enveloped the entire street.
Now I've seen trucks with some pretty nasty exhaust but this was seriously the worse I've ever seen. I thought it may be on fire from all the smoke that was coming out of it. By the time I got to one end of the street and he got to the other (we were going opposite directions) the entire street looked like it was covered in fog. And it was a dense fog, not some wimpy fog. I seriously couldn't see the block behind me in my rear view mirror because of the exhaust that he has put out.
Does anyone other them me find this completely horrible? I'm not a tree hugger or radical environmentalist, but I have to live in this world too. I see the smog that we get in the valley and how the mountains trap everything inside. It's gross, and it's gross to go into the mountains and look down into the valley and see the crap that we have to breath every day. It's just gross. So when I see a truck like this with the exhaust fumes covering an entire street, I get upset. I hope that he'll get pulled over and hopefully the truck will get impounded for being a nuisance to society.
Okay I'll get down from my little soap box now.

I totally agree with you! I saw a truck like that this morning on the way to work. I almost missed my turn-off because the nasty pollutants emitted by said truck clouded my entire view. How in the world are these things allowed on the road? Do they not have to go through the same safety and emissions inspections that my regular car does? And if they do, whoever inspected that truck should be fired. That kind of thing makes my blood boil. Preach on, sista!
I agree too. And I always wonder why they don't get pulled over by the pollution police??? Normal people get tickets for throwing cigarettes out of their windows!!
I'm right there with you! I would have called the police right then and there and say he was a traffic accident waiting to happen since no one could see through the smoke. Hopefully they would have taken care of the problem.
Those fumes make me so ILL.
I hate big trucks anyway. I know they are necessary, but they are frightening to drive around, and the drivers are often sleep-deprived and pushed to the max.
All in all? Six shades of suck.
