Did you vote?

Did you vote... should not be a question that anyone should ask.

The answer is yes I did vote, but it's no business but my own. If I chose to do my civic duty and vote then it's my own decision. I don't like that I feel like I should lie if I didn't vote (which I did; vote that is).

Voting was fun for me. I told my husband that I wanted to vote today because it would be like picking Fantasy Football Players. I get to be the boss of my own ballot, and the fun thing is no one has to know if I voted Rebublican or Democrat. Okay I'm sure someone knows who I voted for but oh well. I liked the little machines to vote. I liked the little card that we had to put in the machine to activate it. It was fun for me. I liked pushing the buttons of the people and propositions that I wanted.

But did anyone feel like it was a test? I felt like I would get in trouble if I talked to my neighbor or if I glanced at his screen. And how easy was it to see your neighbors screen. No more booths that you can secretly go in and pull the little curtain to hide from the outside world. Nope you were right there squished next to two complete strangers, trying not to look at the other screens to see what they marked for #8.

So yes for anyone that wanted to know if I did my civic duty I VOTED!

I know!! While we were waiting in line, this guy behind me kept talking to me about different issues, and I kept looking over my shoulder--like, um, be quiet, you're gonna get me in trouble!!

and it was a total test!! I'm just so glad the answers weren't true and false, although...nevermind, this is NOT a political blog.

LOL.
