Why do people on motorcycles think they own the road or don't have to obey the laws of the road?
This morning as I was sitting at a stoplight a motorcylce passed me. Which was odd because me and the car sitting next to me were at a complete stop. But this motorcyclist was not. The light was still red so why was he moving. Oh yea because he was driving inbetween the cars. He was driving on the white lines sepearting the two lanes. And when the light turned green guess who was in front... none other then our friend the motorcyclest. I wish I had seen him coming, I would have moved my car a little to the right just enough that he would have either hit me or had to stop.
Okay I probably wouldn't. I'd still be here blogging about how much I hate the asshole motorcyclist. Not all motocyclist - just the ones that think they own the road. That the laws of the road are above them.
I understand that in Europe that's just what the motorcylist do. They don't have to wait in line for the green lights, they get to slip inbetween the cars and be at the front of the line when the light truns green. But this is AMERICA, were we have laws and rules. I wish there was a cop car, but no such luck.
So yeah that's my bitch today. I hate motorcylists who think they are in more of a hurry then me. I hate motorcylist that think just because they are on two wheels instead of four they have special privalages. I hate motorcylists that don't wear helmets because they don't think it looks cool. I hate motorcyclist that treat the road as their playground.
And again I don't hate Motorcyclist -- my brother-in-law just bought one last weekend and I'm sure he is a model citizen, I just hate the owns that thinks they are God.

Ug. I am so with you.
My husband drives a motorcycle and he is very careful. I hate that kind of cyclist. It makes it dangerous for everybody.
I guess that they don't give much thought to their saftey or how bad someone would feel if they hit them because they were being stupid.
This is actually one of my own personal pet peeves. Not only does it irritate me - it freaks me out, because I really don't want to accidentally want to kill someone one day when they break the law and come flying down the center. I know they would be in the wrong - but I would be forever traumatized!! Let's do a public service announcement!

and hey, if they don't want to wear a helmet, let them wear their burial clothes. It's their choice.
Sometimes BSC and I secretly wish to see an idiot with no helmet on a motorcycle get into a wreck. Not so he can get hurt, but just so he can learn his lesson and maybe bang up his precious bike.
