Reserved Seating...
At a movie Theater - I love it!
This may be common in other theaters but yesterday was the first time I'd ever seen it. No more waiting in lines, no more getting in line 3 hours before a show just to get a good seat (Harry Potter Fans you know what I'm talking about), no more having to split up large groups. Yes my friends I LOVE RESERVED SEATING.
It's become a tradition in our family to go see a movie every Thanksgiving. This year is no different. We will be seeing The Santa Clause: the great escape. Usually we see a holiday movie - helps put us in the christmas spirit. I will be sitting in Row K seat 17 and 18 (one for me, one for the husband). Did I mention that I love it! I just hope some jerks are sitting in our seats so we can have a Thanksgiving Smackdown--- ha ha ha.

k...i fixed it. it should work now.
If only they had this in Logan. ARG.
What theater!?!? I hope it's not a Larry Miller theater ... we don't go to those.
Lori - actually I think it may be a Larry Miller Theater (damn - didnt' think about that). But it was the closest to my sister house. Plus he owns half the town - getting hard to avoid the bastard.
ONLY in friggin' Utah would you even NEED to reserve seats at a movie theater!
we get to the movies 10 minutes early hoping they haven't sold out yet, and they just look at us like we're complete IDIOTS. "um, no, in fact, you're still within the first 10 to buy tickets..." (freaks)
and yes, waddup w/ Larry Miller?
??
Why I don't like Larry Miller...
Hmm - there are a lot of reasons.
- he owns 90% of Utah (okay not really but he might as well)
- HE decides what we can and can't watch at his theaters - When Brokeback Mountain came out he wouldn't play it because it was about gay cowboys. I think we are grown up enough to decide what we want to watch.
- The name of The Delta Center (which he owns) is now changing to The Energy Solution Center (WTF)
- He's a very rich guy that does nothing to help other people other then his own pocket book.
- Yeah I'm sure there are more - I just personally don't like him.
BSC and I have personal experience with the Larry Miller empire. Let's just say that he treats his employees like crap, while his close few "VPs" get paid HUGE amounts of money to do nothing but berate people who rank lower than they do in the business. He offers no incentives to work for his companies other than the fact that working for his company should be enough of an incentive in itself. Benefits? He makes his employees apply for public-aided health insurance before he'll offer his measly 25% contribution to a health insurance plan. His car dealerships are all scams and raise the prices of new and used cars considerably more than others do, then don't follow through on warrantees. He's a hypocrite and a fraud and does nothing more than help himself earn more money. His money could go to so many good causes. What does he do? Builds himself a race track so he can race cars. Bastard.
What a cool idea! I wish they would incorporate that into every theatre. I always wondered why there wasn't reserved seating. everything else that takes place in theatres has it, why not movies too?
